i have a 96 4 banger. with deckplate mode and amsoil. ive been wanting to increase hp for sometime now. is there anysuggestion on where to start. what to buy first than others. also i was wondering about that m.i.t.thing. would it work for a four banger? i know it say only for a 6 banger but is there really that much difference in the air induction? thanks in advance. also how much horses has been pulled out of a four banger? also i have a 2.4. i love it but 145 is just to little for a truck.

Re: four bangers
start with intake and exhaust like a flowmaster, make to use a dual chamber flowmaster or you will lose all back pressure in the exhaust resulting in engine failure. TRD recently released a supercharger for the tacoma 2.7, might fit on 2.4. there are also busniesses online selling turbos for the 2.4, if you contact them they might make you a more powerful one for a 2.7. Other than that if u can find a good speed shop they can do a port and polish just like they do to lil civics to make them V-tec, this allows the cams to move faster to reach higher revolutions faster.

Re: four bangers
According to this article Flowmaster systems are among the worst on a flow bench.

Re: four bangers
check that test, maybe its sponsered by the company that the results say is the best. i didnt mean to specify flowmaster, i just meant an exhaust. I have a turbo muffler installed on my 2.7, because the law here is full of BS and doesnt allow anyone to install an exhaust that makes noise so i got quiet power.
