95' V8 4.6L that stalls out when put into gear. Just started recently.

my car is a 95' t-bird, V8 4.6L and has just started acting up about two days ago. The engine idles fine in park and in neutral, but when i put into gear, it stalls out and sometimes dies. Even after i get it going, it will die as soon as i come to a complete stop. I just installed a brand new fuel filter on it, as well as replaced the spark plugs. I was told by one person that it has something to do with the electronical sensor just above the air filter casing? I don't know where to go from here and any reasonable advice would be much appreciated.

I'm having the same problem. Apparently, no one is considering our thread, though. Jade and I have had a problem with this lately. We have tried all kinds of things, and still no help. Hopefully, someone will respond with something helpful... We'll see...

I told you to have the codes checked and let us know what they are so don't say no one is considering your post! Jade replied but I didn't see anything from you. Oh, and checking your codes IS helpful!

The reason I didn't reply with the codes is because THERE ARE NONE. So apparently, IT'S NOT HELPFUL. Not to mention, when I tried to talk to anyone other than jade, my concerns were ignored. My "A few Tech. Questions" topic has been ignored as well. I tried to talk to you guys, but you have not talked back. I apologize if you feel that I haven't responded to you, but when there are no codes, what codes am I supposed to tell you about?

o2 wont keep from starting...i gave some suggestions in other thread relating to problem --no spark DOES NOT mean PCM--- possible but not probable. o2 sensor cause poor running but will not prevent from starting. no start main possibilities fuel supply, no spark, no compression in cylinders, timing events incorrect and thats it. each of those possibilities has their own cause(s).fuel supply could be bad pump, clogged filter, broken or restricted lines, fuse, relay or electrcal circuit to control pump. no spark could be crank sensor, cam sensor, PCM, fuses, relays, electrical control circuitry, ignition switch, coil packs, wires and few other improbable things.no/low compression- bad rings, stuck valves, blown head gasket(s), cracked head, or cracked block. timing events incorrect- timing chain broken, PCM , or bad cam or crank gears, misrouted spark plug wires. if you check all of these items you will find your problem. im betting on fuel supply problem. the other thread explains side of road redneck fuel pressure check. dont jump to conclusions it would suck to put fuel pump in to find bad relay or blown fuse just my
