MR2 Searching...

Ok, I've been trying to decide if I should buy a car before I move and have it around here in the US for any visits, and I have decided yes. I had contemplated an RX-7 or 3000GT VR-4, but I've decided on a MkII MR2 GT-S. Now my questions are as follows, how had is it going to be to find one with the JDM engine in it (3s-GTE?). I'm tall, 6'3" am I going to need to buy some racing seats to let me fit semi comfortably in it? Also, do you recommend 17" or 18" wheels?

Any info will be great, thanks

The "GT-S" trim level name wasn't used in the U.S. You can either have MR2 or MR2 Turbo. Easy choice, huh? I believe the Turbo has the 3S-GTE (correct me if I'm wrong), but it's slightly de-tuned from the Japanese model. The turbo model pushes 200hp/200ft-lbs. :coolguy:

I'm 6'1" and I fit in a MKII like a glove.

Hmmm, I guess I'll have to look around for a japanese engine, I like the idea of 260~ horses in that little car

*Edit*
I've been looking around on www.autotrader.com and I found quite a few that advertise a "Japanese Moter" or "j-spec moter" so it shouldn't to to hard to find. Either that or I'll just do a swap
