Air Conditioning only working on Full Blast

I have a 99 Altima GLE. As of right now, my air conditiong will only work when I set the fan/blower level to 4 (the highest output). Nothing works when it's set to 1, 2 or 3. This just started happening today.

I called the service department at my dealership and they said yes people have had this happen. I'm wondering if anyone here has experienced this, and if so is it costly to fix?

Re: Air Conditioning only working on Full Blast

The blower motor resistor may have a bad connection where the wire harness from the blower motor plugs on, or the resistor may be burned out.

Yes, it is the blower motor resistor. Real easy to change out and cost about $30.00. It is located on passenger side below glove box.
