Hubs won't lock?
95 z71 and when i throw it in 4 wheel drive low the light doesnt come on on the shifter case, and theres no dash light that says 4wd. The front driveshaft spins but when i try to climb a hill the only tires that spin are my rears and cant climb for ****. is there a trick to locking the hubs? i tried rolling it in at around 5 mph. or is there something wrong?

Re: Hubs won't lock?
Your front axle actuator is probably toast or you have a bad fuse. You should be able to find info on diagnosing the problem by searching this forum or the chevy c/k, suburban, and tahoe forum

Re: Hubs won't lock?
if you have the manual transfer case, you won't have a fuse for t-case, you should check for 12V at the front axle actuator plug when the transfer case is in 4X4, if you have power you probably need a new actuator

Re: Hubs won't lock?
If you get a new accuator, get the upgrade. It uses a better accuator and a spacer. You will have to run one wire to a brown wire above the T-case. It took me about 30-45 minutes to do the install. I bought it at the dealer for about $100.
