headman headers
k guys made my choice for the headers im gettin just wanna double check a couple of things w/ u guys first. ill be getting the headman long tube 1 5/8 w/ three inch collectors part number HED-68460 on summit. first question is the long tube r better for torque correct. second do these come w/ all the brakets if i need any for mounting. and probably the most important two questions... will this cause me to run lean (no new cam or heads just headers w/ no smog and exaust no cat) and the other part will these go on w/ my stock replacement platinum plugs and msd 8.5 super conductor wires?? oh and is the ground clearance gonna allow for a daily driver since i dont have it lowered any i dont see me having a problem as long as i stay away from large speed bumbs but just wanted to double check... thanx guys!!!

Re: headman headers
1. yes long tubes are for torque
2. contact headman to ask what is included in the kit 3. shouldnt make it run lean, but it might, just something you have to find out. 4. shouldnt impact your sparkplugs. 5. and im not sure about ground clearnance.

Re: headman headers
ground clearance will most likely be reduced. Might wanna get a y-pipe too to make it all fit. If its a cheapo gasket get a new copper gasket. New bolts. All of which are easy to find. Would he need to rework his pipe given that they are long tube?

k thanx all....just hope i dont run too lean after the swap id hate to put on headers and them hurt more than they help but i dont see that being the case. and yeah im gonna spend the money to get a custom y pipe bent...anyone here had to go to a negitive or reverse egr or what ever it is after a set of headers is on??

http://thirdgen.org/techbb2/showthre...ght=egr+number
theres the thred that lists the part numbers for em if ur interested...they say alot of people use them w/ exaust that would cause a real low back pressure |

Re: headman headers
i have headman shorties 1 5/8 primaries and they came with the all the hardware except the bolts. from what many have told me, long tubes will extend down further than the bottom of the car, and will be the first things to hit the ground when close enough.
i had to cut away a small section fiberglass that is part of the A/C system (on the passenger side) to get the pass. side header to fit without touching anything. you may/may not have to do this.
