360 CS Transkit help

I just bought the Tamiya 360 Spyder kit, and upon seeing godfather23 had completed a 360CS, I got to thinking... what if I did project 360 Challenge Stradale Spyder? I found the MSM kit he used, but I can't seem to find it in stock, and the kit I found lists at over $30. Since I'm new to transkits, where could I find the transkit in stock, and is the price I found a reasonable price? I live in the US, if that makes any difference on finding parts.

Thanks in advance, all, and I'll post a progress thread when I end up getting all my parts.

I've seen two 360CS Spiders built, you can use MSM's or SAS's Tkit to do it. MSM's is more complete and no one I'm aware of sells them in the US.

You'll have to order from Media Mix Hobby.com

Re: 360 CS Transkit help

These were sold out at MSM for some time but they are releasing a new improved version next month. I will have plenty of them in stock as soon as they are available. And while we're not in the US, we are about 15 minutes from the US border in Canada so its almost the same :-)

Ron

Re: 360 CS Transkit help

Would it be possible to get an e-mail or a PM when you get them in, dude? Also, any estimate on price?

Make sure that you get the Scale Auto Style Stradale rims. They are much better than the ones coming with the MSM kit. Check the build from 360spider, who shows a comparison of both.

Re: Re: 360 CS Transkit help

Hi Deltableh,

Sure thing. Send me an email at [email protected] and I'll add you to our email list. We use that to announce restocks and new products etc. Unless something changes at the last minute the price should be USD $36.

Regards,

Ron

Re: 360 CS Transkit help

Hi Godfather,

MSM are improving the wheels for their reissue so this may be a moot point. I haven't seen the Scale Auto Style transkit in the flesh but the MSM one is much more complete. Here's a link to MSM's info:

Hello everyone. Here's a photo of the new BBS wheel for the re-issue 360 CS transkit. Number 4 is the old one and Number 3 is new. Number 2 is for the up coming 360 GTC transkit and the Number 1 wheel is for 348/355 Challenge transkit. Other improvements are: side panels, seats, and a yellow gauge decal will be included.

Iīm well aware of the fact that the MSM Creation kit is more complete than other 360 CS-Transkits. But in my opinion the rims of Scale Auto Style are much more realistic than the ones of the MSM Creation kit. Actually I added the rims of Scale Auto Style to the MSM creation Kit replacing its rims. It may be just a personal opinion and matter of taste.

Checking the comparison of the old rims and the re-issue rims of MSM-Creation in this thread make me wonder, whether the re-issue kits will suit the 360 CS more. As the wheels of the MSM Creation set are redeveloped and redone for future releases, it maybe will be worth taking a second look at the new MSM-rims, but I didnīt see theirs in real life, yet.

I didnīt mean to talk badly about any company doing transkits. We are thankful to you guys doing so. Nevertheless it merely was a statement of personal taste and authenticity comparison.
