A/C heater help

IM needing some help with my 87 4x4. My a/c and heater both arnt working. there is no air coming out at all. I think it may be the blower but don't know. how can i tell or what else would it be. I also have a whisle develope when i get on the gas hard. what would that be. and finally what would be a way to fix my rusted cab mounts without welding. Im afaid that is my only option thought. any feedback would be apriciated.

Re: A/C heater help

Put the ac control on max, fan speed on third, then high, should really hear the fan motor plainly, if not you have a bad motor maybe, or the power wire is unplugged. Body mounts are a tough problem, welding is probably the only fix. The whistle sound on hard acceleration usually points to a catalytic converter getting stopped up, or a restricted exhaust in some other place.

Re: A/C heater help

if fan running, then still no output, check for borken or diconected vaccuum hose going into firewall. this operates all the dashpots that regulate heater and ac controls. tell tale sign of this is usually air discharges out of def vents top of dash only. -jon
