Gallardo advice

hey all, i recently posted progress of my Gallardo but im at a bit of a stand still. the chassis is giving me some problems. the instructions say to paint it Neutral Gray and some parts black. well the black parts i plan to CF but im uncertain about the Gray areas. ive seen one pic of the underside and that was on the assembly line half completed. it doesnt look grey, maybe semi-gloss black or even CF. alot of you have built these so how did you paint the chassis? thanks and any ref. pics would be nice. the ones i found were on Road&Track.

PS. if anybody has some spare PE valve cover scripts i would love to have them as it would simplify the engine build and i dont think the Acustion PE set is worth the money as ive completed a good bit of the kit already.

Thanks again!

Re: Gallardo advice

I painted the entire bottom of mine 100% semigloss black, except for the motor piece, which is aluminum. I display it with the wheels down, so I'm not too worried if its correct .

Heres a link that shows the Gallardo mostly naked, and from every angle you might need.

Re: Gallardo advice

just details but the real car doesn't have any carbon fibre structural parts; it's mostly (painted) aluminium.

Re: Gallardo advice

That bottom shot on the first link looks more like a Murcielago to me.

Wow, love the Miura Corse link! Think I'll be adding some Miura Corse bits when I build my Gallardo!
