71 Corvette Question

Hi, I'll help you with what I can. The "pleasur-lift gauge must be an after market add-on of some kind. Definately NOT an option in "71". Your "71" did not have cruise control available. This was first available as a option in "77" as RPO K30. You could scab the parts at a salvage yard and make it look like original to most people, but early GM cruise was very unrelyable at best and is nearly impossibly to get any service parts for today. You could add after market cruise if your not concerned with keeping it original. C6 rims would fit the lug pattern only with adapters and you would have serious interference problems with your wheel openings. Consider a different choice. Your "71" did not have RPO N14 "Side Mount Exhaust System". Was last used in 1969. An alarm was available as RPO UA6 in 1971 and it looked like a keyed trunk release lock centered in the rear. Good Luck with your Vette!

Re: 71 corvette Question PLEASE HELP

Pleasur-Lifts are GM Delco air shocks primarily used for trailer towing.

Chevy DID offer hitches and other trailer equipment designed for 'vettes through dealer parts departments. I recall that Pleasur-Lifts WERE available for Stingray fitments, you probably have a universal air presssure gauge that could be added inline on Caprice wagons, pick-ups, etc.

Look under the back bumpers, inside the rear wheel wells, etc. for one or two tire-type valves and small-diameter hose leading to the area of the rear shocks
