Please Help....Wheel locked & key wont turn

Thanks for any help.....I have a 300 d turbo diesel The key goes in the ignition but it wont turn.... the wheel is locked.

Try turning the wheel enough to take the tension off the steering lock and try it. If that doesn't work then you may have a locked up tumbler..which should have given you some warning signs before you locked it up. If nothing else works, try jiggling it very fast and maybe you will get lucky and get it to turn, if you do, DONT turn it fully off again until you get it to a dealer. It's a pretty quick job to replace the tumbler but if it's locked up it will cost you.

Thanks very much.....it was a tumbler.......and ended up popping it out and replacing it...once again thank you
