Purchasing a 92 roadmaster

It has 112000 miles on it. What should I look for when completing the deal? How long do these cars last? what are major problems that come along with them.

I inherited my 1992 RM from my grandfather with 68k miles on it. He was an aircraft mechanic in the Navy. The oil was changed religiously. I change it often myself. It has 145k on it now and I just had to add the 1st quart of oil for no reason, because it has no leaks. There is a little cheap rubber drain boot at the bottom of the firewall that attaches to the Air Conditioner that will eventually fall off and fill up your passenger floorboard in the front and back. This will make you think the dealer will charge $500.00 for a new heater core. The front suspension and the ABS brakes are the worst ever. I think that is a Buick flaw. When you test drive it go over some railroad tracks kind of fast and hit the brakes hard. You cannot hang on to the steering wheel and the car goes where it wants. This was after I put new Monroe gas shocks. Buick put Corvette engines in newer RM’s they are called LT1 engines. They are in the 94, 95 and 96 models and some 93 models. Maybe they fixed the front suspension and ABS problems. My passenger window had to be fixed because it has a plastic track that breaks. The repairman told me that it was unusual because the driver’s window goes first. The transmission shifts fine in town driving but on the highway when overdrive kicks in a little there was a little shake. My transmission mechanic told me to add 2 cans (7oz) of posi-traction slippage fluid to it to buy some time. He said the torque converter is going out and the transmission should be rebuilt at the same time. I am selling it.
