New intake and exhaust - now it drives like crap
Hey folks,
I added and Monza performance exhaust system and a Weapon R Secret Intake. Now the car runs like crap. I have very little low end power and it bucks a lot when pulling out from a dead stop. Now that I have increased airflow, is there anything else I have to do to compensate? I know with fuel injected motorcycles we have to reprogram the FI. Is there anything like that I have to do for the ZX2? Any help is appreciated. Thank you in advance. Regards, John |

i put a intake and a exhaust on my 99 zx2 and it runs better then ever makes sure you MAF (mass air flow) sensor is plugged in. when i installed my intake i forgot to plug my MAF sensor in and my car ran likme sh*t. Good Luck!

yes make sure the maf is plugged in (and noy in there upside down...the angle the MAF is sitting at DOES matter), also make sure its not broken or dirty.

reset your pcm, critical when installing mods

The pcm should not need to be reset for intake and a catback, actually it really doesnt need to be rest at all, unless you want to clear error codes. The ZX2 PCM is addaptive. It wil learn any changes in either 20min, and will refine itself to the mods after driving for about 20min at WOT and at part throt.
