water in trunk

i have a 1995 mitsu mirage. water leaks into the trunk on rainy days. i've read in another forum some time ago that these 4th generation mirages had problems of this nature. so i would like to start a poll to see if any of you have the same problem.

i have a 92 mirage and a 98 colt both leak heaps of water into the trunk. like a swimming pool in there...

I have a 94 Colt with a leaky trunk. It's not real bad, so the easiest solution I found was to remove the round metal plug down in the spare tire well. Now the trunk stays dry because whatever water is coming in just drains right out.

i have a 91 mirage the problem was water leaking by the seal around the tail light (rh). remove and reseal with silicone. i had to do it twice.

My 96 Mirage leaks a lot, i tried running a silicone bead along the rubber but that didn't help much. Did anyone else try something that worked?

Hi,
I also have a 1995 Mirage LS with leaky trunk. I found this forum by searching for a solution.
Also, my car has 59000 miles and seems to have developed a rear seal oil leak.
