d series build up

hey everyone i realy love the crx and how it is im planing on droping a si motor into my 91 dx and i realy want to build up what it came with stay true to the rex so what would be the ultiment si build up? nos? turbo? N/A all engine? also not only the most hp. but something cool and keep in mind i want to keep the si motor

one quick thing smog and all that crap i dont care about my rex is already way not legal

turbo would be the most efficient way to build the motor - it takes a whole lot more money going N/A to see the same gains as turbo. If you're looking for d-series stuff check out this site:

they sell b-series parts as well. Looks like their site just got a makeover so they don't have any products listed, but i'd call em up they have a phone number. They sell cams, pistons, even d-series race blocks.

But it'd be a lot easier to do a b-swap. Start out with 160 hp? If you go D, you start with 108 and you'll be spending money getting it to 160. But it's your project, i love d-series engines anyway

yeah i see your point but man id love to be able to beat people on friday nites and let them know it was with an sohc si, rather then a teg motor, trying to keep it real...lol

If you don't want vtec, get a mild cam, cam gear, pulleys, light weight flywheel and racing clutch (like me), then dyno tune. I don't go to the track so I haven't dyno tuned... maybe after the body work (soon!) and new suspension parts...
