95 Grand Prix Tune-up

I have a 95 Grand Prix SE 3.1 with a little over 100,000 miles on it.
I was wondering how hard it is to change the plugs on this car, the back ones look like it may be hard to get at. Do you have to drop the motor at all?? What spark plugs do you guys reccomend using for this car? Should I leave the wires alone and not replace them? I have seen some mixed stories... Anything elese you guys reccomend i should replace for the tune-up?

Also my water pump leaks somewhat and I am thinking about replacing it. Is it hard to replace the pump on this car?
Also I would like to put a keyless entry system in this car, i was wondering if anyone has any expierence and could share thoughts on how easy it is to put in.

easy, easy, and easy. that is all it was for me. i have a 95 as well with a 3.1. i did plugs, wires, and 02 sensor. livened it up nicely. i put in some platinums from acdelco. the o2 sensor was the hard part. unless you have the special tool for it.
you dont need to drop the motor or anything. waterpump was straight forward too. nothing out
of the ordinary

Change the fuel filter also.Changing the fuel filter is a part of a tune up.The old fuel filter is full of dirt,trash and will do damage to the fuel pump later on.

The only difficult part to changing the water pump is bleeding the cooling system of air. It takes longer to scrape the old gasket off the engine than it does to take the pump on and off. The plugs are simple as long as you rock the motor forward by removing the upper mounts. Definitely change the wires at the same time. I would also do the PCV valve and check the air filter while you're in there. The whole job should take less than two hours.

Water pump changing dont sound to bad to do. For the plugs, how do you move the motor? Do you just remove the upper mounts then roll the car? and to get the motor back in place is there anything special that needs to be done?

They make a tool that allows you to ratchet the motor forward and back, but it's not necessary. Take the mounts loose, and either push the car back and forth as necessary with it in park. You can also do it by putting the car in gear and allowing the engine to rock under torque with the brake on, then put it in park with the parking brake set when you get it where you want it

But before i do the tune-up i gotta get a new throttle cable for it. I was driving today and then i thought my foot had slipped off the gas pedal for a second. Then I realized the pedal dropped to the floor and the cable snapped. I was lucky enough to get it into a parking lot, as it broke when i was going up hill.
Lucky Me!! Well i am off to go buy a new one....
