how to make 1:8 turbos

a while back i was planing to get the revell 1:8 jaguar e type and i wanted to modernize it with injection and turbo intercooler ++ but i just couldet figure out how to make it i was hopeing to make it from syrene but i just dident come out right so if anyone has any tips on how i should do this im currently have a supercharger made just incase there is no way a turbo can be made

please can anyone help any materials is exeptable rods tubes its all good

Hi Builder!
If a centrifugal supercharger is an alternative try Lucky 13 and click on "How-to's" for some inspiration.
I think you're doing good tackling another language with your read/write problems. Never mind those giving you a hard time about your way to write, just keep on coming.

thanks for the link but a beltdrive turbo is not what im after even if i was i would only be able to make that in my best dreams

Laminate it together, drill a hole through it. Sand it into shape. Put in tubes.

theres is just one problem with that tip mike im not a master of styrene like you are it`s not just glue sand drill and put in a tube when it comes to me in a way that beltdrive turbo is easy compared but still not within my grasp becoulse lack of equiptment to weald so a simpler method is wanted

Ok, try this; carve your turbo out of wood! your hobbyshop can help you with this ( if they have RC-aircrafts they will have balsa and other materials too), then when your woodturbo is carved out, sanded smooth , make a 2 piece mold out of some clay ( found at craft stores) and then cast it in the same metal as toy soldiers!

It's a tricky one because of the snail shell twist. I'd be tempted to draw the unit first and then make it from car bodyfiller/bondo. Find a flat topped container top with the same internal diameter as the turbo external diameter and then fill it with the bondo. When set it should pop out of the mold ready to work on. I'd then draw the spiral wrap shape down the side of the bondo shape and just start carving. I'd aim to keep the cross-section square at first until approximately the correct spiral shape and then radius them off. Bondo is a good medium to work with as it's easy to carve (especially it you sneak up on it whilst it's not fully cured) and of course it readily takes auto primer/paint.

Take some thick solder and wrap it around a tube. Putty it up a little and ta-da!

that was what i was thinking of just need some other sugesstions if anyone knew of a good way , no just have to suckup with my cussin if i could have som floor time in his workshop

You can always get someone to machine it for you. Hiroboy or ScaleMaster (I think that's his name) has done wonderful jobs at machining custom parts.

Thats if they're willing to machine and he's willing to pay. Thats awfully presumptious of you to think that somebody else would machine parts for someone.

of course id pay if it was in my range of cash (450 a mouth) and that verry little in norway and us america but if the price falls around 200-250 dollars id pay it but i dought the that would be enough

Well duh Mr. Obvious. Of course you'll have to pay someone to machine it for you. I'm not presuming anything. And why wouldn't someone machine it? You can make money off of it. Hell, if I had skills like Hiroboy and ScaleMaster, I'd be willing to machine custom parts for people and make some money off of it.
