Im tryin to install some subs in my 98 escort and i can't find the whole in the firewall to run the power cable from my battery to my amp! I know some cars don't have em and you hafta drill a whole yourself but i thought escorts already had a whole in the firewall for this kind of thing. If anyone could help me out itd be great!

One way to do it is run the cable under the car. Where your feet go there will be some rubber plugs. Go up through there and under the carpet to where ever you want to go. Make sure it is fused and put it in a wire loom under the car and in a place where it won't get hung on something or drag against something. There are also some of these rubber plugs in the truck. If you have a station wagon there will be some under the spare tire. Drill or cut a hole in the rubber plug and you have an instant grommet to keep the wire from rubbing against metal. If you ever pull the wire out then a drop of RTV Silicone plugs the hole back up.
