Re: rear mounted turbo
This probably wouldn't work for you as well as it works for the F-Body's.
I would honestly recommend the Grand Prix forums to see what people are doing for boost.

Agreed. The best starter would be to find a GTP engine, lightly increase the boost with a pully or snout upgrade and then look at turbocharging. As the GTP engine can handle the boost alot better right off the bat.
If you're antsy to get your rocks off with the boost, here's a site to get you started. 3800 Performance Other than that, I'd say hit up the Grand Prix forums.

Re: rear mounted turbo
well i saw a mag test one, and get really good results on an ls1. but someone i talked to who had one on an LT1 said it was super laggy, that he had to spool the shit out of it before taking off.

Maybe a pressure leak along the line? Maybe something needs tweaking in the ECU region.
I'm thinking and rethinking a turbo design for my car, possibly going to be a pretty nutty design as I've been doing most of my research based on the European market (Bimmers mostly) and some of the Japan based race cars. I know I couldn't get the quality build off such a tight budget compared to some of the stuff that I've looked at, but it gives really good inspiration for later...

well i was on the squires site, http://www.ststurbo.com/home , and they said they have no lag, their turbos are designed dif, for the rear of the car, and will be at full spool before 3000 rpm. so im not worrired about lag
