Raido problems

I Have a 1996 Windstar and it is fitted with the stock ford cass deck and radio I got from a friend a cd deck Ford from a 1998 contour tried to install but harness is different, power plug is the same but the speaker wires are totally different(think the contour is amp system) I got the plug from the wreckers and now have the problem of what goes where?

In the process of doing this I have blown a fuse (me and the van) I replaced 2 under the dash but still no power to the radio help please if possible.

You Should Check The Main Fuse Block Under The Hood It Has A Fuse For The Radio Known As Memory Or Sometimes The Acc Fuse Also Use A Tester Light To Check The Vans Harness If The Bat And Acc Lines Are Live If They Are You Might Be Connecting The Radio Wrong Or Worse You Blew The Radio
Good Luck Let Me Know How It Works Out
