It does'nt look that bad to me. It's got some style, i like it, but it may need a new hood.

At least the evo has an attitude to it. It looks different but mean, the sti on the other hand just looks ugly, even worse than the last one. But that doesnt mean I dont respect it...subarus are great cars. If the evo looks anything like this concept then its deffinantley going to be the next car I buy.

I agree with you on the fact that the STI looks better than the EVO X. Although there is still something about the EVO X that i like. Just can't put moy finger on it though

That evo is hideous...and im one of the biggest evo fans around... Mitsu needs to quit making concepts and cars(4g) that resemble those on I, Robot.

Re: Evo X

the style was plenty fine before, why change it? Now it just looks like someone extruded the front end and squished it all together. People are going to find it necessary to buy an aftermarket front bumper for the car just to keep it from being such an eyesore.

I suppose if I saw the thing rip off an awd launch in person I'd be a little appeased about the change but the current verdict = ugly.

Re: Re: Evo X

Yes... it is truly fugly. But... the damn thing can flat move! Last night I couldn't believe my eyes! A TV program called "Top Gear" had an AWD Mitsu EVO take on a Lamborghini Murcielago... and beat it on a closed course. According to the show's host and the test drivers on the show, the EVO has a 0-60 of 3.5 secs, a "brake horsepower" (whatever that means) over 400, and a top speed of 175 mph.

Say what you will about its looks (and yes... I hate 'em, too!), but the thing has the performance of a thoroughbred and at least oughta be given the respect that is clearly its due. Too damned bad that performance couldn't be given our much sleeker 3Gens!

Thanx.

Did a bit more searching online and found that the figures given on the TV show appear to be dead-on accurate. The Evo VIII has only a little 2.0 liter, inline 4 (turbo charged, of course), yet pulls with the biggest boys on the block. Here are the specs: http://www.conceptcarz.com/vehicle/d...826&optionID=0

Just ticks me off that the GT has a 3.0 liter V6... and even w/ Stage II mods (supercharger, etc.), we can't get that much horsepower!
