Color change or factory colour?

I have a black 1993 toyota supra, here is my dilemma....

the clear coating on the back is peeling, whenever it is buffed it begins to come off, and the paint is fading. I was going to get it repainted black for 2 grand, but, because I am from Canada and weather is a bitch its hard to maintain black. Should i go for a color change? and what is the difference between a color change and getting the car repainted original factory color?
