Air Bag light flashes 24

My 96 Sable air bags blew. I replaced the bags but not the module. I am getting code 24. Can the module be reset/repaired or does it need to be replaced also?.

According to the air bag diagnostic code list, code 24 indicates the safing sensor output feed/ return circuit is open. The safing sensor is located in the air bag module.

I did find out that the 96 sable /taursus air bag module only works for 96. Also the passenger side air bag has a pressure switch and corresponding second set of wires.
