Factory radio button lights (back lit lights)

The lights that illuminate each of the radio station select or mode-select buttons - can these be replaced by the average guy? Are the lights LEDs that are soldered to a board? Any ideaas where I can buy the lights/LEDs?

The factory radio is in a 1997 Camaro Z28. The radio has a casette and is wired to a 12-disc changer in the trunk. Various random lights are not lit - 4 of the 6 station seclect button, the FM/AM/Aux button, the tuning button, etc. I have the instructions on how to get the radio face plate off - just would like to know if there is any point in going that far if it needs a rocket scientist at MIT to change the failed lights.
