Oil In The Radiator

I just recently had my radiator hoses replaced and noticed it was still leaking so the guy replaced the clamps on the hoses-The top hose and the bottom hose-1997 Chev Lumina-Come to find out it is now leaking at a point where there are two hoses running, one, which looks like a water hose and the other is copper/steel in differeent directions-It sits just behind the belt system and looks like a sending unit but isn't-The guy replaced this part but with no gasket-I put a gasket on this part but now find oil in my overflow tank as well as oil on my radiator cap- Will flushing the radiator cure this? I sure hope so-Any feedback on this would be greatly appreciated. Also, I am looking for a diagram of the motor and a description of the parts and their purpose-

[assuming you are talkinga bout the 3.1L] Are you sure this is oil and not the sludge that is commonly found in these systems using dexcool?
Is this 'sending unit' looking thing sitting right on top of your water pump? If so, there is actually an O-ring that you need where the pipe connects to the top of the water pump. I can't think of anything near there that has any access to oil. If you do have motor oil leaking into your coolant, it's most likely leaking thru your intake gaskets. But if this is sludge, flush it out and filter the coolant or replace yoru coolant and also use distilled water instead of tap water. Also remove your reservoir and clean it out. Flush the engine and radiator also. I did that to mine after I changed out the intake gasket and it's been fairly clean since.

Without further problem description from you, I think it's just sludge that builds up and you are just noticing it since you replaced the hoses.
