Question 89 Civic Si face job

Does anyone know if a older accord front clip would fit on a 89 Civic Si hatchback? I think the accord's front body is wider then the civic, but we're looking to do something that really has been done before.

Yeah we know...but we were just running ideas through our heads. We want to boost it and keep it a sleeper. Maybe a stock looking body kit and some neat rims, other than that..we're not really sure we're going to do yet..

Re: 89 Civic Si face job

No, keep the civic stock no accord front end. The accord front end on the civic came from the Honda AeroDeck that we found online. We couldn't figure out what it was until we read through from of the russian. lol. Anyway, the site is there to see what the aerodeck looks like and what maybe the accord clip/hatch rear would look like.

Re: 89 Civic Si face job

Actually that is a factory car built by Honda. The car is only made over-seas. It's Called a Honda AeroDeck. It's basically an accord, but older, and I think has a few different options then the accord. The european version of our accord. But that is the idea we would like to go with for the hatchback. I'll put more pics of the aerodeck up in a few minutes.

if you notice in the photos, the rear actually has an extra window. This is what makes the difference from the accord, aerodeck and the hatchback.

Re: 89 Civic Si face job

no way in hell would I do that to a civic. and yeah i dont think that even is a civic. I've seen accord hatches around here before.

But what I am thinking, how about a h22 in that accord?

Re: 89 Civic Si face job

That was out next step in the accord. Since the accident we're suppose to be getting some money from it. We need to fix the damage first...but then the car needs a new paint job and some little things here and there. We thought maybe we'd put an H22 in the accord and take the F20a and stick that in the prelude...is that an f20a? I'm not good with the engine naming. The only problem I see with doing that is that I'll be losing some power from changing over from the 2.1 twin overhead cam to the 2.2 accord engine.

If you're going to customize a car, do something nobody else has done before. Hey, I know! Drive a bone stock CRX. I don't think anybody's done that before!

Thumbs up Re: Re: 89 Civic Si face job

Actually, I drive a bone stock CRX HF. Stock wheels, too. Pretty soon it'll be like having a stock 60's VW Karmann Ghia - you just don't see 'em.
