01 Malibu blinker problem again!

Hi, I just bought a 2001 Malibu, the blinker problem appeared on the first day of purchase! I called GM and they said the recall has been serviced on my car. So if the problem appears again, are they obliged to fix it free of charge?
Another question is how to check if any recall had been serviced by the previous owner?

Thanks for any suggestions.

Re: 01 Malibu blinker problem again!

Somebody has any comments?
I got this reply from other forum:

"When was the recall done? What date? If past one year you will have a problem. "

When I test-drove my '01 Malibu before buying it, neither the blinkers nor the hazard lights worked. The dealer replaced it free of charge before I bought it, but I don't know if it was a recall.
