Rotors and pads! ...and the requisite tools, of course. You may want to replace the parking brake shoes while you have the rear rotors off as well, but if it is working fine, I wouldn't bother.

I haven't looked yet but, you need a really big Torx right? to remove the Calipers with???? F*cking GM why did they do that? what was wrong with good old fashioned bolts...

Anybody know what size those are? I'm going to go and buy a couple in case I nacker my Torx bit when I do them next month.

I just did my 01 Z71. Brakes were ok, PB's wouldn't pass inspection. I had 89K on the original, so replaced while fixing PB's. Back pad bolts use a bolt (10MM I think), Front is Torx (go figure!). Fairly easy for brakes, PB fix was a bear, but finally got it.

Tips - finding right pads. Autozone could not match them, O'Riley's no problem. If you need to take back calipers off, you will need a cheater pipe to take caliper mounts off (Have locktite on them). Hayne's repair manual is next to useless. Have rotors checked - mine were fine. Alldata has exact procedures.
