a/c coolant charge 2001 Trooper
Hi,
Anyone able to tell me how to check the R134a charge level in my 2001 Trooper? Thanks |

I tried several methods all to no avail, the best way is to evacuate the system & weigh it back in, I think it took 26.45 ounces which is 2.4oz over 2 cans. These things don't have an accumulator so the charge has to be right. Good luck!

Re: a/c coolant charge 2001 Trooper
you can also do it by the high and low side pressures if you have a manifold guage set. at 80 degrees the low side should be close to 40 psi and the high about 200-225 psi. remember overcharging the system will not make it blow colder, it will blow warmer in fact and could damage your system.
