Chevy to GMC grille swap

Does anyone know if the Chevy/GMC grilles are interchangable for the '88-'98 full size pickups?? I'm looking into putting a '97 GMC grille into my '96 Chevy.

Thanks for any help.

Re: Chevy to GMC grille swap

They will swap out but you have to use the corner lights for sure and possibly the marker lights for the grille you are installing. Check the part numbers to be sure.

Thanks. Yeah, I was planning on swapping out the whole wraparound assembly with headlights/markers/corners and all. It looks like it will work. I was only asking because I haven't dealt with the mounting locations yet. My Grandpa will let me do the swap for free as long as I give him my Silverado grille

Can't beat that! I think you might have to switch filler panels to but you'll figure it out.

The screws up top, there is a screw in the middle somewhere, I've done it twice to get snow out of my grill(big piles, BIG piles) and then I think there might be a few more behind the turn signal, in which you have to take the entire turn signal out.
