Attention All Mr2 Owners Urgent !!!

Please check your local junk yards and salvage yards for MR2s and share what you find with the group. photos would be nice to .

with the cost of scrap iron and steel on the uptrend you might not get a second chance of getting parts from them !!

i have noticed several salvage yard owners that have told me that they had a few mr2s . but with the cost of iron and steel up they are crushing them for scrap !!!

one even had a mint condition 87 mr2 with supercharger and there was only 80k original miles on the car and they crushed it !!! :-( i cried right in front of him !!!!

so grab what you can cause they might not be there when you go back .

keep them running and enjoy !!!!!

Re: Attention All Mr2 Owners Urgent !!!

I guess I am stuck then. I have an MR2 that is not starting up, with no money left for parts till I get paid this friday.
I wish I had trained to be a mechanic rather than a computer engineer.
I have a gorgeus mod pc in my bedroom and a ibm bladecentre in my loft, nobody sees either except myself and the occasional mouse.
I also have a MR2 sitting outside my house that does not seem to start for some reason, even though I only bought it today and it drove 300 miles without a hitch.
Had hoped to be the envy of the town when I bought this today and was till I parked it ouside my house and it would not start. Jesus, I had women at the petrol station introducing themselves to me, daft, must have thought I was driving a ferrari or something (not that this car is any less great). I was like get a grip on yourself, your boyfriend is in your car and I don't like the way he is looking at me.
Anyway will probably need to get it towed and repaired.
If someone has experienced this please find my thread (Toyota MR2 not starting) and offer some advice please. I have fallen in love with car and want the glitch fixed asap, but don't want to pay my months wages to take it to a garage. I am dead broke already and will probably need to take a laptop to loan sharks for a loan.
