onboard computer reprogramable?

hi everyone !!! the past few years i've seen more and more advertisements from companies that say they can reprogram your ...ecm...I think it's called.....I'm sure i've seen some say...reprogram your chip...or...buy our chip and replace your original one....can anyone tell me if there's a company that can help me with my '93 GP 3.1....or if it's too old because it is the obd 1 diagnostic system.....ty...great info on this site.....west.

The only company that I know of that does pre-1997 odb-i is Jet Performance. Checkout the link below:
