mi/gal problem...

for the past two fill ups my car has gotten about 18.5 mi/gal. i know this is incredibly terrible for a 1.8L engine and its driving me crazy. theres no CEL or black exhaust like im running rich. i cant figure it out... what could be wrong with my car???!

got the oil changed 350mi ago and got the 75K maintance early at 71,000 (it has 74k on it). i treat that car like my child, especially the easy maintance. if theres other maintance that im not doing tell me.

Re: mi/gal problem...

air filter, fuel filter, tire pressure, fuel injectors, etc.

18.5 miles to the gallon is really bad. with my old jrsc running really rich, i had about 19miles to the gallon. which was giving out black smoke, a cel for too rich, which eventually led to a cel for primary o2 sensor, and then a cel for catalyst effiency. the fuel is going somewhere. if its not running rich maybe fuel is leaking/escaping somewhere?

Re: mi/gal problem...

well just to warn you all... i found out it was the Shitgo. they either have terrible gas or they rip you off. i was gettin around 18.5mpg for over a month and then i switched gas stations and went back to getting around 23mpg. pretty significant. makes me angry when im paying for premium and still getting f*cked over!
