anybody ever pull a 180 or 360 after pulling the parking brake???????

i thought that i would experiment so i was driving with my friend, going bout 25-30 down a residential street and i pulled the parking brake and did a 180 and ended up perfectly parallel parked on the other side of the street. it was pretty exciting. anybody else ever try this.

I did a 360 before. I have a friend that get this did 2 360's and then recovered it. He was in an older rx7 it was bad ass. He does 360's all the time but he told me that was the first time he had ever done 2 of them. This was at a street race and I was pissed that I did not get it on tape.

reckless driving that could result in my car flipping and killing myself and my friend or hitting another car...hmm...

Let's go for it!

If you are going to do it, do it in a parking lot and not with someone else in the car.

if you've ever crashed.... and doing this probably will make you crash... you'll never do it. Sure you did it once, probably wont happen again.

Let's not be stupid.

i heard that if you pull the parking brake a lot then it can ruin the brake. it will start to get real loose. is this true?

yes it is true. It'd be the equivalent of driving w/ it engaged. The ol' 84 blazer has no eBrake at all because its been driven a few times w/ it engaged

yeah it can get loose after a lot of use like this. its not really ment to be engaged on a moving axel unless of an emergency... hence the name. but yeah its a lot of fun to do. best to do it in the dirt that way you dont have to worry about your car flipping... just slides... used to minor in auto-X'in with some friends on the weekends on some mountain roads. but yeah its dangerous and you shouldnt do it unless you are REALLY good at driving.

Red face Sure have...

I started off w/ powerslides (cuz FWD don't really drift... )
Very few 180's...
No 360's.

Now, I'm trying to get this "left-foot braking" technique though... really weird...

And then both of you guys w/ you sewing maching powered cars get passed by a moped w/ a 5hp Engine and he goes on to put 5 car lengths on you. Racing an EX vs a DX is like a 10 speed bike vs a golden retriever.

i pulled a 900 before while racing some other car. i wanted to do a powerslide into a turn to ditch this guy and i ended up hitting a bunch of wet leaves and doing a full 900 landing parallel parked the opposite way on the other side of the street in front of a cop. it was insane, the cop didnt even have to turn the car on or move a bit. just flick the lights on and get out.
