strait axle swap???
ive got a 1991 chevy scottsdale 1500 half ton 2wd with a crate 350..its has a 10 bolt rear, 700r4 tranny i want to swap in a solid front axle. my question is it worth doing this or just buy a truck with all this already?

I'd say just buy an older (pre 88) truck that has a solid front axle. To swap a solid axle in place of the IFS would prolly cost round about $4000-5000 to get it done right and have it work right. I myself like soild axles better than IFS anyway.
