Replacing manual AC with ATC

How expensive and difficult will it be to replace my manual controls for AC with an automatic, and is it worth it?

Re: Replacing manual AC with ATC

It's not worth it for many reasons. First, you'll have to re-work the wiring so that an ATC unit will function properly in the car. Second, the ATC units have a history of failure and they are expensive to replace, not to mention hard to find. If you have the manual ATC, keep that already in your car. If your manual unit goes bad, you can go to a junkyard and get one for $50, the most.
