'91 MR2 Electrical Problems

Well if this isn't a puzzler...

I was out running the mountains here in Japan (my favorite pastime) and at some time during the run I noticed that my gauge lights were no longer coming on in the tunnels.

No big deal until I got pulled over around sundown because my running lights were not working either. Headlights, signal, high-beams all work fine but no gauge cluster and no running lights. Then, shortly after, my check battery light comes on.

I have checked all my fuses and they are fine. My first impression would have been the switch failed, but I would rather be sure before I rip my steering column apart.

Anyone have an experience like this?

Scott
