Bunch of Questions...

Heres the deal. LONG summer.

1.Fixed my Stealth. I own a 91 Base Auto. Its tip top shape-paint-rims-tires-interior. Yesterday I got it back cause I swaped a newer better engine. I need to sell it. I cleard my 1000 in the bank. Lost my job(hopefully get one in a week). Stealth runs perfect.Im looking for a good price. Ill post pics so u guys can look.I was made fun of because i said 3000 but then some other dude said he would give 4. Any suggestions.

2.Ok as soon as i sell it, ima search for a 3000GT. Heres my question the bank will give me a 5,000 loan if I get that job cause my GF works there and did her work. Anyways, should i go for a 2nd gen non-turbo or a first gen turbo. IMO 2nd gens are nicer. Im thinking a nice 5speed.Speed? i know vr4's are demons cause ive drovem. But as for speed ide like to go towards the domestic road? Maybe in a couple years ide but a camaro or something.

3.Ive though about keeping my Stealth. SOHC and Auto have kept me from keeping it. Its flawless...so nice. But no fun to drive. I was gonna swap a dohc and a 5sp but mechanic said "might as well but the whole car" so i turned that down. But then again im kinda broke. Maybe I should keep this and swap a 5sp in??

Anyways tis been a horrible summer. Any help or comments would help.(i sound like a homeless) HELP A BROKE GUY OUT? lol

Just my opinion here, but if your just starting out in the workplace, and are pretty much broke, I wouldnt look at a VR4 as a daily driver. It sounds like you have put money and time in your stealth. I would enjoy your stealth, and use it as a daily driver. The sohc atx is a great reliable car "not exciting" but reliable. I have seen to many people get Stealth TTs' or VR4's, and then have a hard time keeping up maintenance and repairs due to cost.

Re: Bunch of Questions...

yeah, and also depending on your age, insurance, tax, and other things besides maintanence cost more. I saved a year for my stealth so i could buy it comfortably, without going broke or the need for an auto loan. If I were you I would keep the stealth you have for a daily driver, and save up for a nice one, then when you are in range of getting one, sell your car and you will be set. Its all up to you though, depending how anxious you are

Re: Bunch of Questions...

Yeah turbo would probably put you in over your head with maintenance + insurance. I usually put myself in over my head when buying cars, then I just work harder to make the dough to pay for them.

Re: Bunch of Questions...

Agreed with what everyone has said. Just to be safe, I'd stay with the Stealth for now and if the opportunity arises in the future, take it. Otherwise, you still have a nice looking car. All show and no go isn't super bad, right? Better than no show at all at least... Good luck and I hope your luck turns soon. Seems like a lot of us have been having a hard time with this sucky economy...**thoughts of Musashi**...

Musashi's computer went out so that's why he hasn't been on lately. Last time he posted, he mentioned that he lost his job because his company closed and moved elsewhere for cheaper labor or something. As far Thourun goes, as far as I'm aware, he kinda just dropped off the face of the planet.

Thumbs up Re: Bunch of Questions...

r c you could get a SL or stealth R/T. But I will tell you that when i bought my stealth r/t i thought it would be moderatly fast, but when I test drove it, it was alot faster then i thought it would be, and it was all stock when i bought it. Your base is in the 160hp range so an SL or R/T would improve your hp dramatically. So it depends on how fast you want to get, but with more speed comes more need for $$ And a nice R/T na will be alot cheaper then a nice R/T TT same goes for 3000gt's. And the left over money can be used for various upgrades.
