Post Installing a CD player

I have a '99 Astro that I want to replace the stock tape deck with a Jensen CD2610 model CD player. The connection socket on the back of the Jensen unit is different from the stock unit. Is there an adapter or wire harness I can use to bridge the connection and make this work? Is there another way of hooking up the Jensen using the harness that I presently have from the stock tape deck? Any help will be greatly appreciated as I have searched every single post of the entire 28 pages of this forum without finding an answer.

I recently replaced the stock cd player on my 2000 astro. I used a wire harness I purchased at my local car audio shop. I will help you plug it right into the factory wire harness without having to cut any wires. Check your auto parts store or any major retailer that sells car audio. it should run you no more that $10.

Thank you chuy22. It's begining to sound promising. Do you by any chance remember the name/model of the wire harness you used? I am going to try my local AutoZone.

I don't remember the name or part number as I threw away the bag it came in. But it will fit s-10 blazer and others as well as the astro. Also remember that you will need a dash kit to make it look right as well as secure the stereo to the dash. Good luck.
