There are few problems - I suppose that they are connected.
Toyota, 3VZE engine, runs very well but: 1. When I drive it for about 10 mins. at 3000rpm at normal operating temperature and I stop the idle speed is very low and rough 400-500 rpm, then I depress accelerator for a while and idle gets normal 850-900 rpm??? 2. When I start the engine in the morning when it's cold it starts very well, but I think the high idle stays too long - it's summer so it should not be cold for that long (around 10 minuts of operating)- thermostat is new. 3. The last thing is that when I drive to job (around 1,5 mile) and I stop the idle is still around 1300 rpm. After work ca. 8 hours it's hard to start, but in the morning and when it's hot starts perfectly. Any ideas? Thanks for help. |

Re: '91 throttle body issue
The air valve is what performs this function in your engine. Clean throttle body and EGR valve.

Re: '91 throttle body issue
Remove it from the engine and use carburetor cleaner and whatever brushed or tools are necessary.

The problem is solved!
Vacuum lines from Throttle body to EGR were connected wrongly. |
