Mirage Buying

I have been searching and researching about mirages because I am very interested in buying one. I am looking for a 1997 - 2001 4dr. I find a couple of these but they are all automatics. Can I just swap out the tranny and engine for like a manual 89-94 4g63(DOHC) for $1000?

Could I swap in this engine and tranny? It is a front clip to an Evo V.

Thanks

ok ...first off...on the 97+ 89-94 4g63T will not fit...reason being that the trannys are on opposite sides so pretty much they are opposite directions...but they will fit inside 2nd and 3rd gen mirages(im selling one for $300 if intrested.)

that evo front clip is nice...and yes that motor will go into the 97+ no problem...only thing is that im not sure about the awd tranny ...it might or u might have to do serious welding....then again im not sure..but the engine fits...and i think u have to use a 1.5 tranny...but do sum reasearch im telling u the most i kno ...good luck...and trust me these swaps are wayyyyy more serious than little b-series swaps...im out

it doesnt matter what side the tranny is on, itll fit, youll just do more to make it work on a 97+(always remember ALL YOU NEED IS TIME AND MONEY ). the evo swap is the best way to go, for a couple reasons, 1 not many out there, 2 lot more HP than eclipse g63t. awd tranny is possible, its been done several times. 1.5 tranny can be used but would be kinda short for the power, you can find lots of info/pics on g63t swaps here just search http://67.15.109.176/phpBB2/
