Hey guys, i have problems. I have a 95 chevy truck with a fresh vortec 4.3. It won't start. It will start and run as far as I can go so long as i do not kill it. If I kill it, the fuel pump will not turn back on for like 12 hours. Sometimes when i stop cranking the engine i hear the fuel pump then. I have put in new oil pressure switch, 4 fuel pumps (only bought one, warranty handled others), and fuel pump relay. Only thing i have not done this time is change the filter. This happened once before and that time i went through 3 fuel pumps before i got it to work. that was 4 months ago. I have checked my lines, they seem fine, no kinks or leaks. Could one of them have collapsed and be causing the fuel pump not pressurize???????? Please help me i need the transportation!!

Re: 95 chevy hardly starts
Were the fuel pumps that were taken back tested to see if they were still working or did they just give you new ones. If they were not tested , i would take out the ignition module and have that tested.

Re: 95 chevy hardly starts
There is a plug in connector in the top inside of the gas tank that will corrode and burn over time, really a head scratcher when it's the problem. Sounds like you've tried all else anyway.
