mods

I'm going to be starting to do more mods on my tsi soon and i have a few questions. first off let me say that my goal is to make around 300-350 reliable hp and still have a daily driver. first thing i have planed is an exhaust and i think im going to do a 3" turbo back and a magnaflow muffler. then probably an intake, any suggestions on intakes round or oval pipe size anything helps. then ill probably do a turbo upgrade and supporting mods. what turbo should i go with and how much power will the 14b support?

Re: mods

i guess i should specify a little better what im asking. basically all i want to know is first does the size or shape of the intake piping make any difference and second how much hp can a 14b handle and what is a good turbo to get 350hp from?

Re: mods

size is equal to volume. its important, but not somthing to be concirned about with a 14b, it only flows 30lb/min good for about 330bhp. if you go larger then a 16g turbo you will need to replace your stock diameter intake pipe with one that will fit the compessor inlet size of the turbo you choose. a common tdo5h evo 16g will produce 350hp all day with common supporting mods.

3"??? I don't know about yours but mines I think 5" and should be consistant with most other eclipses. I wouldnt be worrying about the shape and such of the intake whenever it comes to performance(maybe Im wrong??????) lol. Heres a website for what it takes to have 350-400hrspwr Here

Your intake pipe is 5" in diameter? What turbo is that pipe attached to?

Re: mods

After all the support is said and done, the 14b might do 300whp. Have fun maxing out that turbo and buy a 16g when you need more. Maybe a 20g if you did everything right.
