Things that make me go "hmm.."

Here it is. A VR4 with 64000 miles on it. For $4300.

But the guy is in england... and $4300 for a VR4...

I'm tempted just to take the risk.

Apparantly he lives in England, but the car is a US-spec car. So he can't register it there for some reason...

"Hello there,

I m Alex Alexis the owner of the 3000GT you are interested in.The price i ll let the car go is 4300$.
The title of the car is clean and its on my name. The car has a manual trasmission,64800 miles and it has a rare 6 cyl VR4 engine. The paint looks really great, no dents or rust. The interior looks good as well.I m living in Leeds,England.I have this car from a friend of mine,he brought it for me here but i never registered the car here cause it has us specs. .I tried many times but i just couldnt do it.So i decided to sell it,i want to buy another one,but with UK specs.
In case you need the vin here is it : VIN: JA3AN74K2XY001817.

I m waiting your e mail in the next couple of days,as you saw i have a good price too.So i want to sell the car as soon as possible. The shipping will be handled by me but i would like to split the fees,if you are that kind. But we ll talk about this.I guess you have the cash ready as long as you are interested in the car so i wait your answer so we can start the deal.

Thank you"

Anyone know a money handling service with fraud protection?

Oh well.. thought it was too good to be true.

I kind of want to undertake the project of converting my SL into a VR4 to save on insurance... buy some crappy car to drive around in.

Re: Things that make me go "hmm.."

Definitely a scam. I posted something about stuff like this before (probably some other seller) where the seller was like the car is completely stock and he wants to get rid of it quick and blah blah blah. Anyways, I'm just looking at the engine bay shots and exterior and am like "how the hell is that stock?" So I brought it up and he never responded. So yeah, definitely stay away from those kinda "deals"...they'll take your money and run.
