got problems

i have a 99 ex i put an engine from a 98 ex in it. vacunme line is missing and check engine light is on. my car jerks (shifter also) when i press on and off the gas but in between its fine except when i'm going slow then my car shakes like its going to stall but i'm in a low gear so its all messed up. i have the old engine and thinking about rebuilding it (rod bearings went). but i don't have that much money to spend need some help thanks

try just putting on the other intake manifold and the fuel rail and injectors from the other engine. i know that when i replaced my engine i just used the old manifold and fuel rail and no check engine light.

i did that when i was putting the engine into the car didn't notice it until i got the engine in and started the car (vacume leak)that the manifold didn't match up to the head

still have the problems i don't know what else to do i have the old engine i think i'm just going to get it rebuilt and see what happens or end up going to the honda dealership

why dont u just block off the vacuum line, or run it to a vacuum source...tahts why ur car wants to stall out at idle, it has a vacuum leak

yeah, and if you cant find where the leak it, spray some wd40 around your engine, and when you spray the leak your car will rev up.
