Silvia S15 (In-Progress)

I just picked up a Aoshima S15 kit (1/24) and im doing a custom kit and interior to it.

when i was at my hobby shop i found some wheels hidden in the back

Im still contemplating between these two kits

Origin's Stream kit

Origin's Stylish Kit
This is also the color im going to be painting it.

Its got flakes in it so in the light it looks different.

thats in direct light

I'll update this thread regularly, im kinda stuck right now because i cant find the rest of my paintbrushes so im limited as to what i can do right now

Re: Silvia S15 (In-Progress)

I like the 1st kit a lot. What is the name of the color you are painting it? And what airbrush do you use to spray those?

im leaning towards the first kit a lot. I use a testors airbrush, and the paint is just called purple on the bottle. Also the spokes on my wheels are being painted gold right now actualy.

Hi Josh, if ya anything as good as pixeling as you are at modelling...I know this will be awesome.

I prefer the top kit too, more depth. Go for it!

Re: Silvia S15 (In-Progress)

This is going to be a cool build. I personally like the second body kit, but it looks like the first one would be easier to do. I have seen alot of Origin's stuff in magazines and just about all of their bodykits look nice.
Gotta love the Volk wheels also!

i was up late last night workin on the suspension and painting some of the interior. I also got around to painting the spokes on the rims gold

Prototype groggy hippo shocks!

Theres one of the wheels, im almost done with them, i'll probably lay another coat of gold on and paint the centercap along with the rest of the rim. The lip is staying silver though, i wish i had some chrome

Re: Silvia S15 (In-Progress)

If you are building the body kit I wouldnt paint a single thing until you are absolutely complete with building and sanding. You will scratch, cut, and chop painted parts.

Re: Silvia S15 (In-Progress)

wow, your using bondo?
You should get some .020 styrene, Tamiya basic type putty (for filling in little holes), & Tamiya epoxy putty: quick type (for larger areas).
My suggestion if you cant find these products is to use very little bondo, and more plastic. You'll end up with sharper lines if you use plastic sheets. Other than that good start, Wish you luck with this one.
