Need Inspection!

anybody know of a place that i can get pa inspection and emmision stickers for a car that has no cats.

well i'll be damned your right near me. I'm in Fortwashington and lansdale.
we can't pass catless here so snagging some just for smog might be it I can't think of a shop that will look away, getting caught nails owners too hard.

Damn thats right near me too, my hometown is Pottstown. I haven't heard of anyone getting the stickers unless they are close personal friends of the owner of a shop.

Hey, Im originally from Clearfield, Pa. Now that I moved to California having to deal with emissions is new to me. I have a 66 F100 and being as old as it is, it is exempt. But thats beside the point, what I wanted to ask was whats to keep you from going out of town to a place like Clearfield that as far as I know just check normal safety issues(Well maybe Clearfield is a bit far, but I'm sure that there is a county closer that does not enforce the emmisions yet.)

You know whats crazy? I used to hate Inspection time, for me it meant my car was going to be down for a while or I would get pulled over and get a ticket. this seemed to happen every year. Now that Im in California in The Bay Area where traffic is crazy and the drivers are even crazier nobody cares what conditions your brakes are in but your car better be green! its as if they are saying we are more concearned about your health and envirment in the next generation but who cares about today.

cali is very werid like that but i'm not sure how long ago you were in Pa but now its a half and half state about 50% of counties don't need smog while 50% do and we have diffent rules county to county so of the western side counties that do require smogging arn't that thight when like in philly itself its near californa as far as rules.

So in any county in Pa you need to test your vechile in your own county meaning the first poster will need to do it in monkey county.

Also one tip if you drive less then 5K a year or your milage doesn't show that you are expemt.

they failed my inspection because of my window tint, and because after putting the intake spacer my check engine light came on, i went to a second inspection place and the guy in charge was this young guy so i started talkin to him and told him bout my problmen and how i could go around it and i finally got him to help me pass inspection ;-)
SO what i would recomend is to go around looking for someone u can kinda get along with (maybe a small shop where they might want or need the money more)
