Different 300ZX Brake Question. Please help.

Ok guys, now about the 300ZX brake upgrade, I need to know where you guys got the brake shim kit at. I have everything for my upgrade, and only need that. It sucks just having them sit on my floor. Anyways, I have tried every auto parts store around my area and then some. None of them can get them. And the weird thing is, neither can NISSAN! They called me back after I placed my order Friday and told me that the part number is obsolete and that even they called around and found no one with them. They said my best bet now was probably just try to search around on the internet, which I will do, but man, if you guys have any ideas, I really need help on this one. Thanks a lot.

Go to a junkyard tell the guy all you want are the shims and ask if he has a 300ZX. Then go pull them yourself.

I might have to do that, but does anyone know where I might be able to get them new? Even if I have to have them shipped to me. See, I live in Flint, Michigan, which is like General Motors worthless capital of the world, so a 300zx in a junkyard is hard to find.

I have been to that website a thousand times. How does that help me? It has nothing to do or say about the brake shims.

Another solution, would be like call up AutoZone and Oreilys or whoever and ask if they have some brake pads with the shims...some brake pads come with shims...get the shims then return the pads.

ROTORZ+CALIPRZ+LINEZ+PADZ=Z32 breaks on a 240...?!?!

AWDSR20, you must be missing something here. I NEED THE BRAKE SHIMS FOR THE BRAKE PADS. Its really not that difficult to understand. I have everything for the conversion, but I need the brake pad shims.

Lets think about this. You cant just throw brakes in. Who ever has done the brakes on their 240? You know the little metal clips you put the brake pads in then put them in the caliper? Ya those little metal clips that wrap around the brakes, so they stay in the calipers........

Don't thos come with the pads? I know that every set of pads we sell has them already attached to the pads.

i know what ur talking about... but i'm hella sure u don't need them... i don't have them and i do track my car, its all good bro.

put it this way, if it dzn't come w the pads u don't need it, as far as for the sound, my pads rae fine, just VEARY VAERY VEARY dusty...
