Spark Plug Gap!
I hear lots of people argue on spark gap. I heard .026 to .032 is the best range anything high than that on a turbo car you get spark blow.

Most people running stockish boost levels generally have a gap of .036, but most of them who are mildly modded will go down to 0.032, which is probably the best place to start out at, cause you want the widest gap possible without blow out. Then, those who still experience blow out at 0.032 will go down to 0.028. Looking at your sig, i'd start out at 0.032 and then gap down only if spark blow out occurs.

mitsu's specs for non-turbos are 0.044 and for turbos are 0.040, although 0.040 IMO is too high of a gap for the TT's as it usually does cause blow out. non-turbos do not have to worry about spark blow out like TT's do. This is due to the fact that TT's throw in pressurized air into the cylinders, so it takes more energy for the spark plug to ignite a spark. If your gap is too high, then the spark cannot overcome the pressure and can't make a sufficient spark causing the engine to stutter.

Re: Spark Plug Gap!
So even if an NA was modded, we still won't have to worry about spark blowout and just stick with the 0.044 gap?

Re: Spark Plug Gap!
Sweet, sounds good. One more question....what if we SC it? Would we have to worry about blowout or will we still be good? Thanks for the help.

Re: Spark Plug Gap!
Yes then you would need to worry about it, because again, your air in the cylinders would be pressurized...just like a turbo.
