2.2l timing question
Hi, i bought a 96 chevy cavalier 2.2l that jumped time. The last guy didnt have time to fix it so i picked it up cheap. What ended up happening was that the damper on the timing chain broke and caused it to jump about 5-6 teeth. I replaced the chain, gears, and damper and now it back fires only once through the trottle body and then no matter how long you try to start it it wont back fire again. I initally thought i was 180 off so i pulled it apart again to find out that it does the same thing again. What is going on here, Im totally lost. Thanks.

Re: 2.2l timing question
Haynes Manual. It is out of time or you may have a bent valve stuck open.
